Malcolm Trevena

Malcolm Trevena

Malcolm is Meaningful Volunteers's founder.  

He was born and bred in South Auckland and had a successful ten year career in information technology before volunteering for six months in the Philippines and nine months in Africa.

He became disillusioned with the "volunteer tourism" he saw, and founded Meaningful Volunteer so that international volunteers could make a real and meaningful impact on developing communities.

Raymund B. Villanueva

Raymund B. Villanueva

Raymund is Meaningful Volunteer's technical advisor and helped co-found Meaningful Volunteer.

Raymund has previously worked as a national teacher leader and has been a human rights officer. Currently, Raymund is a broadcaster, writer, documentary film producer, journalist and a published poet. 

 

Eden C.Navia

Eden C. Navia

Eden is Meaningful Volunteer's district manager in the Philippines.

She was a student organizer and agrarian reform worker. Eden primarily works in the province of Romblon, helping volunteers. She is also a loving mother to eleven-year old Andrea Denise

Scarlet Nabwire

Scarlet is Meaningful Volunteer's district manger in Uganda.

Scarlet has been with Meaningful Volunteer since its inception in 2009.  Scarlet graduated from Makere University in 2008 with a degree in social work.

Mary Wenyisa

Mary Wenyisa

Mary is the housemaid and cook for the volunteer guest house in Buyaya.
